Apoorva Heroor is a doctoral candidate of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, Goa, India. Her research interests include political thought and political theory. She is currently exploring the conceptualizations of nation and the people in Indian political thought with a focus on Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar’s works. She has a master's degree in South Asian studies from Pondicherry University, India, and holds an MPhil in political studies from Jawaharlal Nehru University, India. She has previously worked as a research assistant at the Center for Armed Forces Historical Research (CAFUR) of the United Service Institution of India (USI) in New Delhi, India, and at the National Institute of Advanced Studies (NIAS) in Bangalore, India.
