Theresa Hilz is an MA student enrolled in the American history, culture, and society program at LMU. During her two years of social work in the US in the field of special education, she developed a strong interest in American history and politics. In her studies, she has since focused on the intersectionality of social and environmental issues in the North American context. Concluding her undergraduate studies, Theresa wrote her BA thesis on nuclear colonialism in Canada and the effects uranium mining for the Manhattan Project had on Indigenous lands and lives in the Northwest Territories.

Theresa joined the RCC as a student assistant in October 2023 and is currently an Environmental Humanities Development associate.
