Harriet Turville completed her bachelor's degree in molecular ecosystem sciences at the Faculty of Forestry and Forest Ecology at the Georg-August-University Göttingen in 2022. During her bachelor studies, she worked an intern at the Nature Conservation Department of the same university, which researches sustainable agricultural methods at experimental sites around Germany. Based on this experience, she wrote her bachelor's thesis on the role of spiders in natural pest control in agroforestry systems. She is now pursuing a master's degree in biology with a focus on ecology, plant, and animal sciences at the Technical University of Munich.

Harriet joined Rachel Carson Center's general operations team as a student assistant in January 2023.
