Yuen Leung is a PhD candidate at Hong Kong Baptist University with a strong focus on sustainable development and environmental policy. She holds a master’s degree in emerging economies and international development with distinction from King’s College London, where she placed second for the Best Dissertation Award. Her academic journey also includes a first-class honor’s degree in European studies from Hong Kong Baptist University, complemented by exchange studies at the University of Oxford, University of Graz, and University of Vienna.
Leung’s current research explores institutional complementarities and technical innovations in Germany’s plastic recycling sector and ways in which circular economy in this area may be developed. She brings rich experience into this interdisciplinary research field, having worked on projects examining educational resilience during COVID-19 and the intersection of language learning and social awareness.
Professionally, she supports inclusive education as a University Study Support Officer in London, and has held project executive and ambassador roles in Hong Kong. Fluent in German and skilled in data analysis, she is passionate about equitable and sustainable development.
