Mary Xinyue Fu is a PhD candidate in English literary studies at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). Her research spans ecocriticism, anthropocene fiction, extinction studies, diaspora studies, and posthumanism. She has presented her work at the 2026 Modern Language Association (MLA) and American Comparative Literature Association (ACLA) conventions, and her chapter on Minari appears in the forthcoming collection “Plants Beyond Borders.”
