Lucia Tedesco is a PhD student focusing on the environmental history of the Alps. In 2022, she graduated in philosophical sciences (cum laude) from the University of Bologna with a thesis entitled “Minacce (in)visibili: Storie di disastri e pratiche di resistenza nella laguna veneta” [In-Visible Threats: Stories of Disasters and Practices of Resistance in the Venetian Lagoon] under the supervision of Prof. Paola Govoni and Prof. Marco Armiero (KTH Royal Institute of Technology). In 2023–24, she attended the advanced master’s program “Environmental and Territorial Studies – Environmental Humanities” at Roma Tre University. Currently, Lucia investigates the history of forests in the Fiemme Valley (Trento, Italy) at the end of the nineteenth century. She is passionate about STS, environmental history, political ecology, and the environmental humanities.
