Aditya Mani is a researcher specializing in South Asian geopolitics and China’s regional economic and infrastructure engagement. He holds an MPhil and a PhD in International Politics from the Central University of Gujarat, India, where his doctoral research examined the Belt and Road Initiative in Afghanistan. He also earned an MSc in Physics from the National Institute of Technology, Surat, India.
His research interests include infrastructure politics, computational text analysis, environmental governance, and conflict dynamics in South Asia. He has published in peer-reviewed journals, including Strategic Analysis, and has contributed to edited volumes and policy-oriented research projects.
Mani has worked as a media analyst at Kanalytics, contributing to analytical reports for India’s Ministry of External Affairs, and as a research fellow at the Pune International Centre. At the Rachel Carson Center, he examines how sustainability narratives are translated into environmental governance within the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), focusing on the gap between “green” policy discourse and its implementation.
