Lukas has never been exceedingly rigorous at separating the scholar from his remaining personality. He finds it difficult to even name a vacation trip without puzzles over spatial patterns or transformational practices. Personal experiences and notions of what just transformations could look like have always shaped his academic interests. He feels especially drawn to the entanglements between urban and capitalist space, socio-ecological alternatives to corporate food regimes, or compatibilities of degrowth and environmental justice. Being a lover of both geography and the outdoors, however, geoecology, climate, and vegetation will always fascinate him too.
