Julia Petersen studied mathematics and Catholic religious education at the University of Augsburg, training to become a teacher. After completing her First State Examination, she worked at the dean's office of the Faculty of Catholic Theology. She then pursued a master's degree in environmental ethics. Before joining the IDK, she also gained experience as an environmental management officer and sustainability coordinator and worked as a teacher.
Dissertation project: Concept of Individual Diet Responsibility in a Theological-Ethical Perspective and the Potential of (Diet-)Ethical Education for Transformation
