Iris Bossen holds a BA in history and sociology from LMU and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in medieval and Renaissance studies at LMU, while working as a research assistant at the Monumenta Germaniae Historica (MGH). With a focus on interdisciplinary research, she is interested in connecting different aspects of the late medieval and early modern periods, particularly in relation to society and the sciences. Her BA thesis examined how the Black Death was perceived and explained in Munich and the policies the city implemented to combat this crisis.
Iris joined the RCC as an intern working with the Editorial and Communications Team, as well as on library maintenance in February 2026.
