Christopher Steil is currently pursuing a master’s degree in American history, culture, and society with a focus on literary studies and a second bachelor’s degree in anthropology. He obtained his BA in North American studies from LMU in 2023 with a minor in theater studies. His research interests include film and literature studies and gender and queer studies. He wrote his BA thesis on the censorship of homosexuality in 1950s film adaptations of literary works by Patricia Highsmith and Tennessee Williams.
Christopher joined the Editorial and Communications team at the Rachel Carson Center in April 2023.
