Victoria Myznikova is an environmental journalist and researcher with BA and MA degrees in philosophy and religious studies from Moscow State University. At the Carson Center, she is working on a project about Soviet science towns and their transition to a market economy in the 1990s and early 00s. Her interest is in transformations of environment and society and modes of scientific knowledge production. In Russia, she has worked as a senior editor and journalistic writer focusing on the fossil fuels economy, green transition, green tech, and climate policies as well as grassroots environmental movements in Russia and other post-Soviet countries. Myznikova is a member of the Russian Journalist Union, which works to defend the labor and civil rights of media workers in Russia.
