Pia Weißler obtained a master’s degree in comparative literature and literary theory from Ludwig Maximilian University with a thesis on “The Atmosphere of Venice.” After joining the RCC’s Environmental Studies Certificate Program in 2023, she began her research on Venice during a field trip with Christof Mauch. In 2025, she spent one semester at the Venice International University. Her research interests focus on phenomenology, ecocriticism, atmospheres and, of course, Venice.
In October 2025, Pia joined the Project Management team as research assistant to RCC Director Christof Mauch.
