Namika Hamahashi (she/her) is a researcher and writer with keen interests in the (built) environment, spatial practices, and visual culture. Her current project concerns the MA thesis titled "Seeing Sustainability in the Forest" at the RCC. Her master's studies in environmental humanities at the RCC are fully funded by a DAAD scholarship.

Her critical perspectives are nurtured through both academic and professional experiences in Tokyo, Munich, and Brussels. She holds a BA in Global Studies from International Christian University in Tokyo, as well as a one-year exchange study in Communication and International Public Policy at Université Libre de Bruxelles.

In January 2026, Namika joined the Project Management team as a Digital Archiving Associate to support the RCC.
