Malte Sattig is currently a second-year student in the master’s program Environment & Society at the Rachel Carson Center. He joined the program to gain a deeper understanding of the role social dynamics play in environmental issues.
Having previously obtained a BA in sociology from Technical University of Darmstadt, he is particularly interested in multispecies studies and the analysis of power dynamics in situations of social inequality. He has practical experience in museal representations and started his early career in the bioversum Jagdschloss Kranichstein, a biodiversity museum in Darmstadt.
Malte joined the RCC in January 2025 as research associate to Dr. Anna Antonova and also works on the HORIZON project EmpowerUs.
