Laura Mann received her diploma in business administration at Saarland University in 2013. Before she completed her bachelor’s degree in history with a minor in language, literature and culture at LMU Munich in 2018, she worked in marketing, partly as a self-employed entrepreneur. In 2011 Laura studied a semester abroad at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. She is pursuing her master's degree in history at LMU until spring 2021 presumably. Her interest in the Rachel Carson Center's themes developed while studying human-animal studies and animal history in the course of her history studies, which is subject of her master’s thesis, too. Furthermore she joined the interdisciplinary seminar „Impact for Global Challenges“ at LMU in 2019.

Laura took over the position of the library associate at the Rachel Carson Center in September 2019 where she is also participating in the RCC's Environmental Studies Certificate Program.
