Jonatan Palmblad is an interdisciplinary scholar interested in the role of ideas, cognition, and technology in human–environment interaction. He defended his doctoral dissertation in 2023, in which he outlined the environmental philosophy of Lewis Mumford as a usable past for present socio-ecological challenges. Originally from Sweden, Jonatan holds a BA degree in liberal arts and an MA degree in the history of science and ideas from the University of Gothenburg.
He has been a managing editor—and later senior editor—at the Rachel Carson Center since 2018. Currently, he has taken on the roles of project coordinator and lecturer. He is the LMU's contact person for Speak4Nature.
