Eleni Galani obtained an integrated master at Agricultural University of Athens, Greece, in the Faculty of Food Science and Human Nutrition in 2021. Upon completing her thesis in the General Chemistry Lab, she realized that she was always interested in the interaction between interdisciplinary fields and in believing that a change is possible only after you view things through a  “wider lens.”

For this reason, she pursued an MA in bioethics at the University of Crete. Her thesis focused on new technologies in food production, and especially the case of cultured meat from a bioethical perspective. She successfully obtained her degree in 2025 and is currently seeking new stimuli and exploring new ideas and directions to further develop her research in novel foods.

In May 2025, Eleni joined the Rachel Carson Center team as an Erasmus+ intern from Greece.
