The former Minister of Environment of Ecuador, Yolanda Kakabadse, gives a talk on “Sustainability Needs Us All: From Small Actions to Big Changes.”

Kakabadse was also the president of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) from 1996 to 2004 and president of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) from 2010 to 2017. Her ties to the Rachel Carson Center go way back to the inauguration, at which she spoke besides Jane Carruthers and Vandana Shiva. We are happy to welcome her back for this online talk.

The event takes place in cooperation with the Chair in Environmental History of the University of Freiburg.
