Visiting Fellow

Gijs Mom is an historian of technology teaching and researching at Eindhoven University of Technology (the Netherlands), as Programme Director for Mobility History. He is also the founder of the European Center for Mobility Documentation (ECMD). In November 2003, he co-founded the International Association for the History of Transport, Traffic and Mobility (T2M). In 2004, Johns Hopkins University Press published his book entitled The Electric Vehicle: Technology and Expectations in the Automobile Age. For this book, Mom received the ASME Engineer-Historian Award 2004 as well as the Best Book Award from the Society of Automotive Historians.
