Tuesday Discussion with Troy Vettese

31.01.2023 16:30  – 17:45

Location: Rachel Carson Center, Conference Room (4th floor), Leopoldstr. 11a, 80802 Munich, Germany

This week's Tuesday Discussion is with Troy Vettese (European University Institute), who will talk about his book Half-Earth Socialism. The book is a so-called scientific utopia, or as the authors Troy Vettese and Drew Pendergrass describe it, “an ambitious speculation on possible futures, which calls for the end of the fossil fuel era, sovereign Indigenous nationhood, nature preserves covering half the Earth, and drastic social changes such as widespread veganism and the end to private car ownership.” Troy will open a discussion about his book and how he envisions the future of humans.

The Tuesday Discussions are free and open to the public.
