17.01.2023 16:30  – 17:45

Location: Rachel Carson Center, Conference Room (4th floor), Leopoldstr. 11a, 80802 Munich, Germany

This Tuesday, Dr. Claire Lagier, an alumna of the RCC's doctoral program will introduce the work of Seqana, where she holds the position of Partnerships and Business Development Manager. Seqana is developing a platform that uses artificial intelligence, soil sampling data, and satellite data to quantify soil organic carbon. Their goal is to enable communities to manage, report, and sell carbon sequestration mostly on the voluntary carbon market (VCM). Claire Lagier will open a discussion about how VCM works. She will also address the ethical challenges of this type of market.

The Tuesday Discussions are free and open to the public.
