Academics in Climate Activism: Experiences and Reflections

Talk

23.10.2023 13:30  – 14:30

Location: Rachel Carson Center, second floor, conference room, Leopoldstr. 11a, 80802 Munich, Germany

This talk will focus on the role of scientists and academics in the planetary crisis, with examples of activism from SR, a nonviolent global activist group mainly composed of researchers, students, and professors. The speakers will briefly introduce their activist trajectories and discuss how academics can get involved in meaningful activist work. There will be plenty of space for questions and discussion; anyone is welcome!
