“School Track and Adolescents’ Climate Change Attitudes”

Mini-Seminar

29.11.2023 12:30  – 13:30

Location: conference room, second floor, RCC

We are pleased to invite you to a mini-seminar to share the work of Salla Vadén, a doctoral student at Tampere University in Finland. She will be presenting the draft of her paper titled “School Track and Adolescents' Climate Change Attitudes.”

“This is a first draft of an article examining how adolescents' (approx. 15–17 years) climate change attitudes develop across different educational trajectories. The text is planned to be a part of my article based doctoral dissertation in the field of political science. My dissertation studies how different political socialization agents (parents, peers, school, media, leisure activities) affect the development and differentiation of climate change attitudes during adolescence. The main data is the Finnish Adolescents' Political Engagement Panel (FAPEP)—survey consisting of two time points and qualitative data to be determined later.”
