In the age of the Anthropocene, we are dangerously poised on the brink of irreversible environmental disasters as we tread precariously across the danger zones of several planetary boundaries. How did we reach this point of an unabashed quasi auto-destruction? Are there still possibilities for making amends to prevent the prophesied Apocalypse? This presentation will explore the challenges posed by certain dominant psychological drivers underlying the complex human-nature entanglements and draw inspiration from alternative approaches based on Indic perspectives for understanding and preserving this relationship in more sustainable ways.
