Ecopolis München: Umweltgeschichten einer Stadt

A Student Exhibition on Munich's Environmental Histories

Ecopolis München: Umweltgeschichten einer Stadt, is an exhibition on Munich's environmental histories and showcases the final projects of students in the RCC's Environmental Studies Certificate Program. You can visit the Ecopolis München virtual exhibition at the Environment & Society Portal.

The exhibition will run from 25 July to 27 July 2017, in the main building of the LMU (Lichthof). It will be open daily from 10 am until 8 pm, and is free and open to the public.

The Exhibition's vernissage will take place on 25 July at 12:30 in the LMU's main building.

On 27 July, from 6 pm until 11 pm, Environmental Studies Students will present their final projects as part of the Ecopolis Night. President of the LMU, Bernd Huber, will give the opening remarks, followed by the students’ talks. The "Nachhaltigkeitspreis für wissenschaftliche Arbeiten von Studierenden" sponsored by the Selbach Umweltstiftung, will be awarded for the best thesis on sustainability and there will be a podium discussion with environmental historian Daniel Barber on architecture and environmental futures, followed by a party. 

The upcoming event has been featured on the forum Nachhaltig Wirtschaften, an influential, German-language platform for cross media communication on corporate social responisibility in politics, ecomony, business, and society.
