21.10.2025 16:30  – 17:45

Location: Rachel Carson Center, fourth floor, Conference Room, Leopoldstr. 11a, 80802 Munich, Germany

This Tuesday, Tamara Narganes Homfeldt (Whale & Dolphin Conservation, WDC) will join us for the Tuesday Discussion. Whales and dolphins are faced with all kinds of threats, from indirect threats like climate change, plastic waste, noise pollution, and overfishing to direct threats like whaling, bycatch, and captivity. Through lobbying, research, and public engagement, WDC works towards its vision: a world where every whale and dolphin is safe and free.

This Tuesday, Judith Hentschel (urgewald) will join us for the Tuesday Discussion. The NGO urgewald holds financial actors accountable for their role in environmental destruction and human rights violations. To this end, urgewald conducts extensive research on the coal, oil, and gas industry and provides publicly available databases to give financial institutions a tool to move fossil fuels out of their portfolios. Judith Hentschel will introduce urgewald's databases, GCEL (Global Coal Exit List) and GOGEL (Global Oil & Gas Exit List), and will talk about urgewald's latest projects, such as the Finance Campaigner School.

The Tuesday Discussions are free and open to the public.
