Over the course of nine years, the film accompanies the cooperative Kartoffelkombinat from Munich on its way to becoming the biggest community-supported agriculture (CSA) initiative in Germany. The two founders, Daniel Überall and Simon Scholl, do not simply want to grow vegetables but advance a much bigger idea: the search for alternatives to capitalist production methods. They ask themselves: How do we produce? Who owns the means of production? And who benefits? The path is rocky; agricultural and personal challenges arise, and suddenly the project is close to falling apart.
A discussion with Daniel Überall (Kartoffelkombinat) will follow the screening.
The original version of the film will be shown. The discussion will be held in German.
Free and open to the public.
