Tuesday Discussion with Herbert Rudolf (WeltWald)

20.06.2023 16:30  – 17:45

Location: Rachel Carson Center, Conference Room (4th floor), Leopoldstr. 11a, 80802 Munich, Germany

This week, Herbert Rudolf, head of the State Arboretum of Freising, will introduce us to “Weltwald Freising,” the educational forest of the Bavarian State Forests. Weltwald was founded in 1987 and, since then, has grown into a collection of over 300 tree and shrub species from all over the world on an area of 100 hectares. Herbert Rudolf will give insights into the history of the forest and discuss the aesthetics of a forest, the effects climate change has on the forest, and the need for a forest conversion to a climate-resilient mix of trees.

The Tuesday Discussions are free and open to the public.
