This week’s Tuesday Discussion is with Prof. Dr. Julia Pongratz, chair of the Department of Geography at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich (LMU) and a contributing author of the IPCC Report—member of the Mitigation and Climate Change Working Group—will introduce her research on global climate change. Julia Pongratz is a world-renowned expert on the interrelationship of land use and greenhouse gas emissions. In her discussion she will introduce the science basis of emission-reduction pledges and ask whether they can truly serve as drivers of change.
