Tuesday Discussion with Ando Shah (creative technologist and environmental experience designer)

06.07.2021 16:15  – 17:15

This week, Ando Shah, environmental experience designer and PhD student at UC Berkeley, will give us insights into his work as a virtual reality creator to enable a different kind of reality that can help us connect to nature and the environment in new ways. He will introduce some projects where he has combined his technology and storytelling skills with his love for and interest in the natural world. For example, he developed the world's first underwater camera trap to identify and tag manta rays. Ando says virtual reality can allow for new perspectives, build compassion through empathy, and lead to behavior change for a more sustainable planet.

The discussion will be broadcast live from the Rachel Carson Center (RCC). To join the zoom discussion, please register in advance via this link.

There will be the opportunity for those interested to engage in a zoom discussion with the speaker after the talk.
