Tuesday Discussion with Yannick Passeick (Competence Center for Radicalization Prevention in Nature Conservation)

18.05.2021 16:15  – 17:15

This week political scientist Yannick Passeick, an education officer at the Competence Center for Radicalization Prevention in Nature Conservation (Fachstelle Radikalisierungsprävention und Engagement im Naturschutz,FARN) will introduce his center's work against right-wing extremism with a focus on nature and environmental protection. The center was founded in 2017 as a project of a project of the Friends of Nature in Germany, following the observation that extreme right-wing forces in the field of nature and environmental protection (e.g. the anti-Semitic Anastasia movement and radical AfD members working in citizens' initiatives against wind turbines) were gaining ground in many parts of Germany.

The discussion will be broadcast live from the Rachel Carson Center (RCC). To join the zoom discussion, please register in advance via this link.

There will be the opportunity for those interested to engage in a zoom discussion with the speaker after the talk.
