Tuesday Discussion with Julie Weissmann (Urban Pollinators/ TUM)

19.01.2021 16:15  – 17:15

This week, ecologist and anthropologist Julie Weissmann, an alumna of the RCC's certificate program, will introduce us to her work on "Urban Pollinators" in the Munich region. Weismann and her team are exploring the relevance of wild bees for urban crop pollination, the importance of urban environments for bee conservation, and opportunities to involve urban citizens in both research and conservation. Julie Weissmann will introduce us to a colorful world of under-noticed diversity and interactions right on our doorsteps.

The discussion will be broadcast live from the Rachel Carson Center (RCC). To join the zoom discussion, please register in advance via this link.

There will be the opportunity for those interested to engage in a zoom discussion with the speaker after the talk.
