Art and Nature in the Bavarian Countryside

For this seminar we visit the Foundation for Art and Nature in Nantesbuch which is a non-profit foundation that operates several farm buildings 50 km south of Munich. Seminar leader and curator Sinan von Stietencron will introduce us to the foundation's ecological initiatives, including landscape conservation and permaculture. During a guided tour of the 320 ha large plot, he will highlight some of the projects that are happening there, like the rewilding of streams, improving moorland, reforestation and mapping of nesting birds. These are just some of the examples of the interdisciplinary exchange at Nantesbuch, always asking for a more meaningful and sensual understanding of what the Environment can mean.
