Tuesday Discussion with Environmental Activists Mara Appelhagen and Ramona Frank

14.05.2019 16:15  – 17:15

Location: Rachel Carson Center, Leopoldstr. 11a, 4th Floor, Room 415 (conference room)

This week, Mara Appelhagen and Ramona Frank (both members of the RCC’s environmental studies program) will share their stories and insights about participating in the recent Hambach Forest protest which saved 200 hectares of western Germany’s ancient forest from being felled and left to energy giant RWE for lignite mining operations. They will also report and discuss their visit to the State Forest Vodno in Skopje, Macedonia, where similar protests are underway.

Refreshments and cake will be served. All are welcome.
