Sufficiency is a broad principle for social organization with the potential to steer organizations—and maybe even the entire economy—away from continuous growth and the excessive costs of the fossil fuel regime. It holds the promise of a good life not just here and now, but into the distant future.

Professor Thomas Princen (University of Michigan) will address this concept in his talk “Sufficiency: A Behavior, a Practice, a Principle,” which is part of the Oskar von Miller Forum's public lecture program.
