Doctoral candidate Fausto Ignatov Vinueza will give a talk on “Development or Nature? The Expansion of the ‘Extractive Frontier’ in Ecuador in the Twenty-First Century.” It is based on his dissertation project, which provides an analysis of the intersection between development policies, extractivist practices, and environmental politics in Ecuador (2007–2017).

The talk is part of the colloquium series “The Americas,” hosted by the Institute of Social and Cultural Anthropology at LMU Munich.
