Storytelling and Storyboarding Science

Seminar with an Excursion to the Global Science Film Festival in Zurich

15.11.2019 – 18.11.2019

Location: Rachel Carson Center, Munich; various locations in Zurich.

Led by film festival director and former Carson fellow Samer Angelone, the Environmental Studies Certificate Program seminar “Storytelling and Storyboarding Science” aims to inspire and train scientists to use narrative techniques and strategies employed in film to produce persuasive presentations and publications. Ten candidates of the program will travel to Zurich to attend the second Global Science Film Festival (which also runs in parallel in Bern), where they will employ techniques explored in a preceding workshop to critically review eight jury-selected films.

You can read a report of the event with summaries of the films here.
