Mark Lawrence, scientific director of the IASS, will present on the work of the institute, which primarily focuses on a range of sustainable development topics at the science-policy and science-society interface. These include mitigating the impacts of short-lived climate-forcing pollutants (SLCPs), and on the potential impacts, uncertainties, and risks of climate engineering. Lawrence is also Co-Chair of the International Global Atmospheric Chemistry program (IGAC).
