Günter Bachmann, the Secretary General of the German Council for Sustainable Development (RNE), will discuss sustainability initiatives currently underway in Germany. A landscape planner by training and an honorary professor at Leuphana University of Lüneberg, Dr. Bachmann was affiliated with the German Environment Agency before he joined the Council for Sustainable Development. He also served as Chair of the Federal Ministry for the Environment’s Scientific Advisory Council on Soil Protection.
