The Schweisfurth foundation was founded by master butcher and meat millionaire Karl Ludwig Schweisfurth. Owner of one of the largest meat processing businesses in the world, Schweisfurth gave up his business in 1985 and started a foundation that is committed to an ethical framework for sustainable agriculture. Franz-Theo Gottwald will discuss the origins of the foundation and its goals.
