Environmental historian Joachim Radkau will speak at the Rachel Carson Center. The title of his talk is "Gab es die Ära der Ökologie?" ("Was there an Era of Ecology?") While the talk and the discussion will be in German, professor Radkau will be glad to answer questions in English, too.
Joachim Radkau is a retired professor from Bielefeld University who wrote the book Nature and Power about world environmental history. Last year, he published a history of global environmentalism, Die Ära der Ökologie.
