Tuesday Discussion with Alexandra Caterbow (HEJSupport)

21.04.2026 16:30  – 17:45

Location: Rachel Carson Center, fourth floor, Conference Room, Leopoldstr. 11a, 80802 Munich, Germany

This Tuesday, Alexandra Caterbow, co-director of HEJSupport (Health and Environment Justice Support), will join us for a discussion on the global plastics treaty and the role of chemicals in shaping a safe and just circular economy.

Drawing on her extensive work at the intersection of environmental justice, chemical policy, and civil society advocacy, Caterbow will explore why plastics are not only a waste issue, but fundamentally a chemicals and health issue. She will reflect on current negotiations under the UN plastics treaty, highlighting the importance of transparency, the elimination of hazardous substances, and meaningful civil society participation in shaping effective global solutions.

The Tuesday Discussions are free and open to the public.
