"One Book – Many Worlds" invites not only LMU members to be part of the project but also the Munich public. The following event formats are open to everybody who is interested in embarking on a multifaceted discussion of related to climate.

Events with Amitav Ghosh
To kick-off the project, Amitav Ghosh will visit Munich from the 17 to 20 November for a series of events.
- Sunday, 17 November 2024, 11:00: "Die Muskatnuss und die Planetare Krise." Matinée at Literaturhaus (book ticket)
- Tueday, 19 November 2024, 18:00: "Das Unvorstellbare denken, das Unglaubliche schreiben. Diskussionsabend zu Klimawandel und kreativem Schreiben mit Amitav Ghosh" at ÖBZ.
- Wednesday, 20 November 2024. 18:30: "Hiding From the Apocalypse. How the World's Wealthiest View the Future." Lecture at LMU’s Große Aula (free admission)
Interdisciplinary Lecture Series at RCC's Lunchtime Colloquium
In our interdisciplinary lecture series, two experts representing different disciplinary perspectives take on a theme from the book and exchange ideas as part of a joint short lecture and a subsequent discussion.

One Book - Many Worlds Student Exhibition
In a course taught at the RCC during the winter term 2024/25, students will develop exhibits related to themes from Gun Island (See Course Description) The exhibition is forthcoming in April 2025.
