The RCC at the "One with Nature" World of Hunting and Nature Exhibition in Budapest

28.10.2021

The biggest nature exhibition in 2021—"One with Nature" World of Hunting and Nature Exhibition (OWN)—took place in Budapest from 25 September until 14 October. The exhibition engaged with issues ranging from environmental protection and conservation, future sustainability, and biodiversity.

RCC alumnus Joseph Adeniran Adedeji was nominated official "One with Nature" International Ambassador and received a decoration in the Parliament at the opening ceremony of the exhibition. Congratulations Joseph!

Joseph also gave a talk at the World Conversation Forum—a ten-day conference series on conservation practices—on "Hunters are City-Founders: Landscapes of Hunting, Pre-Colonial African Urbanity and Cityscapes." You can listen to the full talk here. Our director Christof Mauch gave a talk on "How Vulnerable is Our World? Ecological Crises and Slow Hope for the Future." You can listen to the speech here

RCC doctoral candidate Anikó Elek Tálas has been working as International Relations Expert for the OWN over the last one and a half years. Anikó helped to organize the series of events by building up international relations between professional representatives of the global conservation networks and institutions and the OWN, and took part in curating the program of the World Conservation Forum.
