New Book by Marcus Hall and Dan Tamïr

Mosquitopia

16.12.2021

RCC alumnus Marcus Hall and Dan Tamïr published their new book Mosquitopia: The Place of Pests in a Healthy World (Routledge). The groundwork for this book was laid in the 2019 Rachel Carson Legacy Symposium "Mosquitopia."

Mosquitopia explores different ways of coexisting with humanity's deadliest animal—the mosquito—from the perspective of the natural sciences, social sciences, and the humanities. By addressing the dual question if we could and after all should eliminate mosquitoes, this edited volume presents and opens up a new and exciting understanding of the many human-mosquito relations.

An open-access version of the book is available here.
