Doctoral Candidates Win Big at Photography Contest

29.07.2019

The Rachel Carson Center was represented at this year’s edition of the LMU GraduateCenter photography contest with contributions from several RCC doctoral candidates. We are pleased to announce that Jonas Stuck was awarded first place in the jury’s selection. His photo, taken in Brandenburg, shows an empty storage warehouse where unsorted garbage from the German capital was stored. In addition, the people’s choice prize went to Andreas Jünger for his snapshot of the first demonstration of the Fridays for Future movement in Madrid on 1 March 2019. The two photos, as well as two other submissions from Maximilian Feichtner and Fausto Ignatov Vinueza, are now on display in the fourth-floor conference room.
More information about the other winners and the photography contest can be found here.
