Teaching Gun Island
"One Book – Many Worlds" aims at reaching as many students as possible and encourages them to engage with the manifold climate related topics raised in the novel. Accordingly, Gun Island will feature in a number of student-oriented formats (lectures, seminars, tutorials) throughout the winter semester 2024/25.
Exhibition Studio at RCC
At RCC, Dr. Anna Antonova and Dr. Hanna Straß-Senol will be teaching a course titled "Exhibition Studio."
After having read the novel Gun Island by Amitav Ghosh, students participate in regular meetings developing and implementing ideas for small exhibits on themes in the novel. In the first couple of sessions, students will discuss the text, identify topics they are interested in, and develop a concept for their exhibit, either individually or in small teams. Thereafter, students will have the time to work on the creation of their exhibit independently. In the new year, they will prepare the exhibition in collaboration with the ÖBZ.
For LMU students interested in the course, please find more information in the course description.
