"Rivers of the Americas"—Special Issue of RIAS
11.10.2021
A special issue of the journal Review of International American Studies (RIAS), titled "Rivers of the Americas" and edited by Uwe Lübken (LMU) and Manlio Della Marca (LMU), has just been published. This issue addresses a research gap in recent American Studies scholarship and takes an international and interdisciplinary perspective on the role of rivers across the American hemisphere and beyond.
The issue includes a contribution by former RCC fellow Eunice Nodari (Federal University of Santa Catarina) and Marcos Gerhardt (University of Passo Fundo) on "The Uruguay River: A Permeable Border in South America," as well as a conversation between Lawrence Buell and RCC Director Christof Mauch.
"Rivers of the Americas." Special issue, Review of International American Studies (RIAS) 14, no. 1 (Spring-Summer 2021) can be downloaded for free.
