Urban Environments Initiative Officially Launched
New Collaborative Research Venture

The Urban Environments Initiative (UEI) was launched in October 2019 as a collaborative venture between the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU), the Technische Universität München (TUM), New York University (NYU), and the University of Cambridge.
It is coordinated in Munich by Eveline Dürr (LMU) and Regine Keller (TUM) and
supported by administrative staff based at the Rachel Carson Center. The UEI aims to bring together researchers working on urban environmental issues and related topics.
The recent virtual UEI workshop, "Spaces of Living in Transformation—In Times of Uncertainty" took place in June 2020. The detailed workshop report can be found on Seeing the Woods. More information concerning the initiative is available on the UEI website.
